Christian
First and foremost, we are a church that is firmly rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He who came, lived the life that we cannot live, died the death on the cross of Calvary that we deserve, laid in the tomb for three days before victoriously rising from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father. We follow Christ as revealed in His Holy Word and hope in the promise of His return. We worship the Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - as the one true and living God.
Covenantal
We believe that God works through the use of covenants or promises to bring about His perfect and holy will. We hold to the three major covenants of Scripture: the Covenant of Redemption, the Covenant of Works, and the Covenant of Grace. The Covenant of Redemption was made in eternity past in the Person of the Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - stating that the Father would send the Son to redeem a people for Himself and that the Holy Spirit would seal those children as a promise of their redemption (Ephesians 1:3-23).
The Covenant of Works was made with Adam - and consequently with all mankind after him as he represented all of humanity - that gives man a list of commandments to keep in order to live. Due to the fall of Adam in Genesis 3, sin now prevents any man from keeping this covenant.
The Covenant of Grace is the outworking of the Covenant of Redemption and was promised by God to Adam in Genesis 3:15. This covenant promised that the seed of the woman would crush the head of the serpent and restore God's people to right relationship with Him. This was fulfilled in the person and work of Jesus Christ who gave His life for the salvation of the children of God.
Confessional
We adhere to the Second London Confession of Faith as a faithful representation of what we confess to be true. Our elders and deacons fully subscribe to the Confession while the members of the church must submit to the teachings of it.
Family-Integrated
We believe that worship is one of the most effective means of discipling our children. Therefore, we do not separate children from their parents during the worship service. This is not to say it is an easy task, but that it is a worthy task to have our children with us. We also understand that children will make noise from time to time and that parents will at times need to step out to correct behavior. However, we convictionally hold to the importance of children seeing their parents worship the God who saves.
